IC:
Ive been having second thoughts of what id like to become. i still want to be a great warrior to honor my father, who died in the clone war battle on kashyyyk, but he was a master with any weapon. i feel very limited only learning a rifle. i feel that i must learn melee combat also. would this be a wise choice? oh and also, does anybody know how to get rid of these dam fleas? im itching like hell Sad

OOC:
and what would be a good template for this kinda thing?

With the skill limitations, mastering multiple weapons is tough. You have to decide which weapon(s) you like to use the most. I was a master marksman/pikeman for a while, but decided to go down a different path. I am now working on mastering bounty hunter and combat medic.

Along with mastering rifleman, you could master TKA. It would give some nice bonuses and you could fight effectively from afar and up close. I would also get the exploration skills in the scout line.... just in case you have to walk, it would be nice to navigate the terrain faster than a snail's pace.

There is a great calculator at http://www.bloodfin.org called Kodan's SWG ProfCalc V4.1 . You can play with this to determine if you will have enough to master your chosen fields.

If you master both Rifleman and Pikeman, it would leave you with 38 skill points left to use anywhere. The skill values would be:

General Melee Accuracy +85
General Melee Speed +25
General Ranged Accuracy +105
General Ranged Speed +20
Melee Defense +120
Polearm Accuracy +65
Polearm Defense +65
Polearm Speed +45
Ranged Defense +155
Rifle Accuracy +85
Rifle Defense +30
Rifle Speed +65
Two-handed Melee Accuracy +65
Two-handed Melee Defense +40
Two-handed Melee Speed +30
Unarmed Damage +30

It can work.

That would work however you are going to need fast weapons and possibly some more accuracy. With the extra points you could get either master marksmen or master brawler and leave 4 points for FS skills.

Ah that is a good combo but master marksmen would serve you better as traps and camps really do not have any good function in the game now.
